Cuan was founded by us in October 2025 to provide essential support for children with additional needs through a sustainable and ethical product.
Our Product
Our sensory teddies are thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and support to neurodivergent children.
Featuring soothing sensory fabrics and an optional motor, each teddy aims to provide a calming, tactile experience that helps children feel safe and at ease.
What makes these teddies even more special is that they are fully customisable – children can choose up to four different fabrics, allowing them to create a teddy that feels just right for them. Additionally, they can decide whether they want the motor included or not, giving them control over their sensory experience.

The Process
Sustainability
Sustainability is an important consideration we take when creating our teddies. Our sensory teddies are made using old, recycled teddies, giving them a new purpose while still managing to reduce waste. By reusing existing materials, we’re able to minimise unnecessary production and contribute to our planet in a small but meaningful way. Each teddy is thoughtfully reimagined, combining creativity with conscious choices.
How are motors are made
Combining a motor with a battery pack and switch, the wires are soldered to them to create the circuit. The casing is 3D printed using a strong acrylic material. The tops are an acrylic, laser cut into a circle to fit the top.

Our future and aims
GLOBAL
We want to sell our products globally. We are hopeful that this will create more awareness and recognition for children with special needs.
SUSTAINABLE
We want to work with completely sustainable businesses to reduce wastage. It is our aims to use fully sustainable fabrics to contribute to our planet.
Expansion
We want to work with wider areas such as hospitals, therapists and mental health services. This will help us come up with more ideas and further advance our product to fit each child’s needs.
